Wilco will kick off their final US tour of 2012 by headlining The Hideout Block Party / A.V. Fest tonight in Chicago. Aside from tomorrow nights show in Columbia, Missouri, the band will be traveling up and down the West Coast until September 30 when they close out the tour at the legendary Hollywood Bowl. Make sure to check back with us as we will be posting setlists from the entire tour.
Tonight will be my 11th Wilco show since December 2011 and I couldn’t be more excited. From shows in Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan and Illinois, I’ve seen some truly incredible music. Who could forget The Incredible Shrinking Tour of Chicago? Not me! I have so many memories from those five shows, but seeing Jeff Tweedy play part of the his solo from “I’m the Man Who Loves You” with my license plate is definitely at the top of the list.
